Wireless Mesh Phase 1

The boundaries of the first phase deployment spanned from the G.M. Newman Police Building (425 W. Main St) to the Washington County Courthouse on Court St, between the Johnston-Memorial Hospital and the railroad tracks. Antennae are deployed in many locations including Church St/Main St, Main St/Cummings St, Valley St/Cummings St, Main St/Russell Rd, and many others. (2008)

 

Wireless Mesh Phase 2

The boundaries of the second phase of deployment encompass the Exit 14 end of Abingdon all the way down to the waste Water treatment plant behind Exit 17, including a new tower site at VHCC and Wolf Creek Water Reclamation Facility. (end of 2009)

Wireless Mesh Phase 3

The boundaries of the third phase of deployment spans from the Eastern edge of the Historic District to just beyond Exit 19. A new tower will be placed at the Coomes Recreation Center for maximum coverage beyond the hill at Thompson Drive. (end of 2010)
