Rent a bike or bring your own, shuttle to the top of Whitetop Mountain and coast through the Jefferson National Forest on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Fall is the perfect time to enjoy unbelievable scenery and abundant autumn color. Located just a short distance off the trail between Abingdon and Damascus, is Abingdon Vineyard & Winery, nestled among the trees along the South Holston River. Back on the trail to Abingdon, lodge at one of our numerous facilities, dine at one of our outstanding restaurants and visit Barter Theatre. Stroll the brick sidewalks and enjoy the vibrant foliage while taking a self-guided walking tour. Explore the various shops and boutiques to discover unique gifts, Virginia wines, tea parlors, galleries and studios. Enjoy exhibits at William King Museum, The Arts Depot and tour Fields Penn House Museum.

A farm winery located on a 50-acre farm along the South Holston River. Winery tours and tastings are available during open hours. A small gift shop of wine-related items is also on site.
Our customers are our first priority. We welcome you to our tasting room to try our wines and learn more about making and growing wine. We are interested in your likes and dislikes in kinds and types of wine and welcome your feedback on those we have available. All of our available wines are sold from our tasting room. We now can sell wholesale again, via the Virginia Wine Distribution Company, to other retail establishments. Currently some of our wines can be found in Abingdon at Katbird's Wine and Gourmet, The Tavern, Wildflour Bakery and House on Main; in Meadowview at the Harvest Table; in Bristol at Inari's; in Chilhowie at the Townhouse Grill. We are licensed to ship wine from our tasting room to customers residing in Virginia and into North Carolina. We only ship cases from our winery, 12 bottles in each case any mix. Costs are dependent on your location and weight of the package.

Center for Art and Cultural Heritage, never the same museum
The William King Museum is the site of the former Abingdon Male Academy and the William King School, which served the town for many years. Both an architectural and historical landmark, the museum hosts cultural arts exhibits and special displays year round. Art classes for both adults and children are offered as well as special programming.
