The Abingdon Historic District is a collection of eighteenth and nineteenth century domestic and commercial buildings that illustrate the variety of architectural styles and forms that appeared on the main thoroughfare of a rural Virginia town.
The Hagy House is a circa 1805 log home located off of Hillman Highway. The house is a significant structure because of its German design influences in a region usually associated with the Scots-Irish.
It was originally the home of Jacob Hagy, one of the founders of the Hagy Wagon Company. The home is currently undergoing restoration.
