What is C.A.S.T.?

Coomes Area Swim Team is a blend of fitness and competitive swimming for children and young adults. C.A.S.T. swimming is based on regular, structured workouts using training techniques to promote fitness and competitive swimming. Competitive opportunities?

There are opportunities for competition, but no one is obligated to compete. There are club and open meets, as well as championship meets throughout the calendar year.

Does everyone have to compete?

Many swimmers swim just to keep in shape or for cross training for another sport. You may choose to measure your progress by the increased distances you swim, the time you take, the decreased rest you need and or your general feeling and well-being after a workout.

Fees?

There will be an annual registration fee of $58.00. This fee will cover your registration fee with United States Swimming Organization. Monthly fees of $25.00 for the first child, $20.00 for the second child and $15.00 for the third child will apply to all enrolled swimmers. Fee covers coach’s time, workouts, newsletters and administrative charges. Additional fees for competitions will apply if you compete.

Mascot?

We have adopted the sea tiger as our official mascot.

Training and Instruction?

We will have a coach available at the practice sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Workouts will be available for those who wish to train on Tuesday, and Thursday mornings.
