A service provided by a Certified Massage Therapist on scheduled days each month. Appointments encouraged, walk ins welcome. Chair massage has many proven health benefits for people of all ages. Sessions are $5.00 each, and include a 5 minute consult with a 10 minute massage. Some benefits include:

These land based fitness classes are geared toward adults, teens, and children. Adult classes are open to those 14+ years old, and those 14-16 years old may be accompanied by a parent. New fitness class cycles begin every 7 weeks.

Nutrition
As part of our wellness series at the Center, our registered dietitian will offer monthly nutrition sessions that will provide information and education on positive ways to balance nutrition in order to live a healthier lifestyle. Session topics, times, dates, and locations will vary from month to month. There will also be a table located in the lobby of the center which will provide healthy recipes and nutrional tips. Wellness Luncheon Series
The Wellness Luncheon series promotes wellness through working with local professionals for the most up to date education on health related topics. This is a great opportunity for the community to learn ways to improve their overall wellbeing. Presentations are followed by a catered meal. There is no cost for this program, however, seating is limited so be sure to pre-register. We hope to see you soon!
Fitness Assessment
This is a great tool to give you a baseline of your fitness level. Available for members / nonmembers, the assessment includes flexibility, strength and endurance testing. It also includes blood pressure and pulse check, along with circumference measurements. Lastly, through a noninvasive procedure, we will test your lean mass percentage, fat mass percentage, BMI, and total body water. Must be done pre-workout, so be sure to call ahead for an appointment. Short sleeves and shorts preferred for testing.
Members: $5

Personal Training
Personal Training in January 
Working with a personal trainer can be beneficial in balancing an individual’s well being. Those benefits include improvement physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
Coomes Recreation Certified Personal Trainers have certifications from nationally recognized organizations which have been validated by scientific research in the field.

Walking Club
For those who are 55+ years old, you can join our walking club monthly to walk our 1/16 mile indoor track during all operating hours. You can also include miles walked on the outdoor track which is 2/3 mile around the perimeter of the center. Members keep a mileage log each month and work toward incentive gifts for miles walked throughout the year. New in 2010, members can complete monthly wellness activities in the community and receive discounts on fees.
Members: No cost
Non-Members: $15/month
Senior Day
Tuesdays and Thursdays are our Senior Days at the Center. Seniors age 62+ are
welcome to use our facility (classes not included) at no cost from 6am-2pm. Come and join us!
Member Orientations
Upon joining our facility membership, new members will receive an orientation to the fitness facilities in the Center to help them get started safely on an exercise program. Before the orientation process, members will be asked to complete a medical history form in order for us to properly proceed with an appropriate exercise program. Depending on medical history or status, we may ask for a medical release from your physician in order to proceed with the member orientation process.
Coomes Center Weight Rooms
Complete a full circuit with the new Cybex VR1 series selectorized equipment, or create your own routine in the Free Weight room area which includes Smith Machines, flat / incline / decline benches, dumbbells ranging from 5 – 100 lbs, Cybex Cable Crossover, Assisted / Non-assisted Dip / Pull up machine, heavy bag, and more. Ages 14 – 16 must be with an adult, no one under 14 permitted in rooms
Cardio Exercise Rooms
The cardio exercise room has recumbent bicycles, lifecycle, elliptical cross trainers, a stepper, treadmills, a row machine, Arc Trainer, and a NuStep for your fitness needs. Ages 14-16 permitted with adult supervision. We also have Cardio Theatre for your exercise pleasure. This system requires an FM digital dial radio and headphones. If you don’t have your own, you may purchase headphones at the Center, and you may check out a digital radio for use while exercising.
In the cardio exercise room, you will also find a stretching area with free weights and fitballs for your convenience.
