The Town Sanitary Sewer System has approximately 96 miles of sanitary sewer line, 2,165 manholes, 5 pump stations and a newly upgraded wastewater treatment plant permitted to treat 4.95 million gallons of wastewater per day. Any sanitary sewer lines, pump stations or other appurtenances to be connected to the Town’s system must be approved by the Town Engineer. This approval process typically begins in the planning and design stage of a sewer project or subdivision. The Engineering Department will review submitted plans to ensure that the Town’s sanitary sewer system is constructed and maintained in accordance with Town and State regulations and good engineering practices.

  Important information for design engineers and developers. The general notes must be included on any sanitary sewer plans submitted to the Town Engineer. The signature panel is required on the final plat for any sewer line and appurtenances located outside of the Town corporate limit and connecting to the Town’s sanitary sewer system.

The Engineering Department intends to develop a comprehensive specification and construction standard for sanitary sewer facilities to be connected to the Town’s sanitary sewer system. When this document is completed, it will be available for review and download from this site.
