Town Police Department is responsible for maintaining the peace

benefits, and implementing a safety
program, which intends to prevent
accidents before they happen.

The Department of Public
Works is the largest department in the Town. It covers sewer management,
road maintenance, and solid waste (garbage) pickup.

for all technology within the Town,
including computers, networks,
servers, and phone systems.
We are also responsible for
the Electronic
Village of Abingdon.

The Town Attorney is
duly licensed by the Virginia State Bar and is appointed by the
Town Council for an indefinite term.

is responsible for ensuring that
all structures within theTown of Abingdon
are built to the standards set forth
by the state.
